Middlebury Alumnus

So I have been sitting in front of the computer for awhile trying to figure out where to start. As my first blog post I wanted to start with the very beginning, but that would be silly. Then I was like well I will start with my most recent race, but there is also a history behind that one too. So I guess I will start with the fact that I just graduated from Middlebury College. Its crazy to think that I will not be returning to Middlebury. Unlike a lot of students, this realization has already struck me - the past two summers I spent at Middlebury conducting Neuroscience research so I am basically used to returning back to school immediately, instead I am lying on the floor at home, writing a blog living the life of a cyclist (pretty sweet) and not injecting mice/rats with alcohol (pretty sweet). Anyway, the past few weeks have been a whirlwind and it feels like forever since I was studying in Bihall (the science building where I spent 85% of my time at Middlebury). When I was on the road I was reminiscing about my friends and the thought passed through my mind, "oh, well I will see them when I get home." I was sorrowfully mistaken - those days have come and gone.
I believe I took advantage of all Middlebury has to offer and I have developed very strong friendships. I have met professors that I have pushed me, guided me and changed my life. So good-bye Middlebury College, thanks for a great (intense -but in the words of my lab buddy " there is nothing you [me] do that isn't intense") four years. I am moving onto a new, uncertain, exciting era.....stay tuned.
